The information found within this article is in no way meant to serve as legal advice. Ultimately you should seek the advice of lawyer before actually taking any action. With that being said and done every effort has been taken to make sure that the information within this website is up to date and accurate.

In Montgomery County child support is issued whenever one parent obtains custody of the child and or children during a divorce. These payments are legally designed to assist the primary caregiver with any financial necessities i.e. education, food, and medical expenses.

In most parts of the United States child support is determined by the courts and some of the factors are, the number of children involved, the income of both parents, the medical needs of the child as well as the educational needs. It is also important to understand that it is neither of the parents right to receive child support. However both parents should understand it is the right of the child.

Another fact that I think is important to point out is a recent book by Dr. Stephen Baskerville states that statistically speaking, noncustodial mothers tend to default on their child support payments than noncustodial fathers. Despite popular belief and what you see and hear in the media, this is not an assumption, it is a proven fact. It is a fact that for whatever reason the media fells to report this. To add insult to injury, this is a fact that has never been acknowledged by CSEA.

Montgomery County has a reputation for perpetuating negative promotion of fathers who fail to pay child support. The question that should be at the forefront of your mind, is why would they do this? The answer may be shocking, and it is mainly because they want to divert the mass publics focus away from the hundreds of millions of dollars that are generated by the State of Ohio yearly from the collections of child support.

Over the years I have received tons of reports regarding fathers who were victims of Montgomery County child support, and not one of them were good. I even attempted to call and ask for an interview from them for this site. I always do my best, (although it doesn’t always work out as plan) to keep a bias opinion. They refused to give an interview or give a statement. With that in mind I have no choice but to report my opinion based on my research and the emails sent in from our readers.

All thing put aside, every one that I have spoken to regarding the Montgomery County Child Support system has advised me to share with you this… LAWYER UP!!! The individuals that I have spoken to all the way across the board has said the same thing. A few people even stated if your going to get married – live Montgomery County and move out of their jurisdiction.
